Wolraat is a large and unique Beni Ourain carpet, hand-knotted with thick knots of locally produced sheep's wool. Give your interior a warm and exotic touch with this unique Berber carpet from the Middle Atlas, Morocco. The carpet has a honeycomb pattern with randomly filled hexagons. The pattern is broken by geometric gaps that give the carpet a playful and casual touch. The division of the whole into blue and brown tones creates an extra field of tension that only arouses even more fascination.
The thick, silky wool invites you to live barefoot, sit on the floor, stretch out and enjoy.
Beni Ouarain carpets are widely recognized as the most prestigious carpets in Morocco. They are made from the best wool in the world. These Berber rugs are passed down from generation to generation and are particularly comfortable.

Keep your Beni Ourain rug free of dirt and dust by vacuuming carefully it once a week. Do not use a vacuum cleaner with a soft or rotating brush. Only use the suction power of the vacuum cleaner (soft cution). Don’t run your vacuum cleaner over the fringe because it may snag the fibers and unravel or tear them off.
When spilling a liquid on your carpet, try to remove it immediately. You can put soda powder on it to absorb the liquid. Wait 20 minutes and then vacuum the soda. If the stain is already drawn in the carpet, whip it in with cold water or a mixture of water and vinegar.
The rugs are traditionally made: The women of a family work together to make a carpet -by there own design- for the family's household. They shave their own sheep; wash, comb and colour the wool with natural dyes on a soft and ecological way. This intensive process makes the wool and the carpet, of these precious family items, unique and of exceptional quality. This traditional way of processing the wool is increasingly being replaced by an industrial process, making the unique softness and the natural colour nuances a rarity. Therefore these handmade rugs are very desirable.
